Belated Mothers' Day Celebration

Here are the photos taken during mothers' day celebration a week after the actual mothers' day. Had lunch at Taste Paradise located at ion orchard. Overall, the food was just average. Or maybe not.. after all I didnt eat much to comment. I didnt exactly like the ambience of the place. The lighting is terrible... faint yellowish lighting. The only feature that captured my attention will be the portraits of emperors placed on the walls.

 Dim sum. I ate chee cheong fun, har gow, siew mai and veggie dumpling. That's all I had for that meal. Haha.. Didnt try the famous custard buns though sis gave a thumbs up for that.

 Peking duck with prawn crackers. One of their signature dishes, but not up to my standard... skin not crispy and i prefer egg skin.

Sister ate this mango dessert. She says the portion is too small. I like the dry ice placed underneath the bowl... gives this smoky effect.

Sister bought macarons to cheer me up! From  TWG, the high class dining place.... I ate the peppermint one (one in white). It's nice but I always find macarons a little too sweet.  

Verdict: I wouldnt go back to taste paradise for a second meal, but I wouldnt mind trying out other restaurants under the taste group.
