Mandatory couple selfie while we were still lazying around at home....
My hair was short back then. Now it has grown!
Before checking in to the hotel, we had lunch at PS cafe. No pics of food as we were too hungry!
A picture of me with the beautiful vase of flowers!
Ok off we go to the hotel! Checking in time is 3pm and checking out is at 12 pm the next day.
Llyod's Inn is a boutique hotel conveniently located at 2 Lloyd Road Singapore 239091, at Orchard road's vicinity. It has 8 types of rooms, each capturing the relationship with nature in different ways. It also caters to your needs. All rooms come with ensuite bathroom with full-length mirror and clothes rack, air-conditioner, free wi-fi, fresh linens, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board, basic toiletries, working table, study chair and a basic stationery set (credits to lloyd's inn). What I like about Lloyd's inn is its simplicity. Simple does not equate to being sloppy (as I have learnt from my cousin, during a recent wedding we attended).
Firstly, entering the lobby was an enjoyable task on its own because of the relaxed and laid back feeling that the whole environment and setting evoked. I felt at ease when I was checking in. Haha. Concierge staff were friendly and helpful.
Lloyds' Inn does not serve breakfast, but there is a outdoor pantry for you to have a cuppa tea/coffee and you are very much encouraged to bring your own breakfast there. There are also crockery and disposable cutlery being provided, so not to worry! Love the hotel's thoughtfulness.. I remember us having breakfast at Freshly Baked, with the food vouchers being provided by the hotel. The hotel has tie ups with both Killiney and Freshly Baked, which are located just a stone throw's away from the hotel. Choose Killiney if you are looking at having a local dining experience. If western food's your choice, then the latter would suit your palette.
We chose the Sky Room, because of its outdoor bathtub! Initially we wanted something more lavish, which is the Big Sky Room but it was not available. This room comes with a queen size bed, a small sofa, simplistic hangers and my favourite wooden finishes. The bedframe is wooden! But I remember kicking my foot into one of the corners and it hurts. Haha.
I like that there is a personal bathtub just outside your room! Breadman and I made full use of it, by frolicking in the tub. Hehe. What were you thinking...
Us in the hotel bathrobes!
Somebody making himself at home! Whenever we enter the hotel room, the bed is the place where we will "attack" haha. A comfy bed makes us have a guaranteed good night's sleep.
Breadman got me a bath bomb from Lush! I love products from lush because they are made of natural ingredients and handmade with love. If you know me, I am a green person. I practise the 3Rs and I advocate recycling. I believe humans' actions are the sole reason for environmental changes. Therefore, I try to do my part by trying to help the environment. For this reason, I also try to use cruelty free and natural beauty products. The Body Shop is another one of the brands that I seek after. Though i am no vegetarian, I am consciously consuming less meat.
There, another selfie! Not many pictures taken during our stay because of the national mourning period and we were not exactly in the mood to celebrate as well. Yay, another hotel off the bucket list! I would definitely return in the future for another stay, hopefully in the Big Sky Room this time around!
Cost of the stay: $260 (if I did not remember wrongly)
