Cousin's Bday Celebration

This is a really backdated post because cousin's birthday was on 22 August! Haha... too many photos to upload and edit, hence the delay. Dinner was at The Cafe Cartel, which had disastrous food, because there was no waiting time. Empty seats are all you see. Plus, there is a one for one pasta promotion for DBS cardholders, so a cheapo like me must seize the opportunity! This is my third time visting The Cafe Cartel and standards have dropped like crazy. Service was terrible and the food lacklustre. Hence, I will not talk much about the food in here, because there is nothing much to talk about.  Nonetheless, a food blogger wannabe will still show you what we ate. Anyway these werent all that we ate. We ate two more waffles! Not just two of us of course! My sis passed by the cafe and saw us and she ordered those waffles. My voracious appetite surfaces when I am dining with cousin, as always. Haha... that's why cant lose weight when we are out. Dieting thoughts are thrown far far away when we meet....
 

 We had Cheese Waffle Fries as a side dish. This was passable. Probably, I do not have much expectations for this since I love waffle fries. The portion was huge though! We couldnt finish and luckily my sis came and helped us polish the leftovers. 

 This was what cousin had, Pan Fried Macaroni. It reminded me of the macaroni that the malay stall sells at canteen B back in  my uni days.

My choice was Pan Fried Linguine. This was akin to aglio olio, but a substandard one that was too oily. Chicken chunks were too tough. I loved the shitake mushrooms though.

 

 Cousin with her present! Straw clutch with cute cherries! This bag is still kind of popular amongst blogshops and online stores these days. There are actually two designs, another is the banana one. But I figured that cherries are more cutesy. Heh.
