Was at Chong Pang Market with dad two days ago as he wanted to get some new clothes for the upcoming lunar new year. Dad only buys tops of Crocodile brand. Those shorts that he wears at home are also of that brand. Economical and long lasting are the two main factors why he remained loyal to that brand all these years. Even though Dad has a distinct beer belly, he remains a size M... hahaha, always an inner joke amongst us. Mind u, I toggle between size M and size L, but dad is always size M! Hahaha...
So lunch was done at the hawker centre there. Dad ordered fishball noodles from the infamous Xiang Xiang stall while I ordered mine from Lu Xiang Ji, which is supposedly known for their chicken feet noodles.
When my noodles came, I was dumbstrucked! Not three, not five, but SEVEN fishballs! Mind you, these fishballs arent tiny, they are each of a ping pong ball's size! The best part is, the fishballs are tender and fresh! It isnt too hard or too chewy, just nice for my liking. The uncle is really generous with the serving... look at the whole lot of noodles! Taste wise, I dun really like the noodles as the bitter taste is still too strong, but I have no complaints for the fishballs. I couldnt finish eating all of it, ate four fishballs and three quarters of the noodles, while Dad finished the rest. All this goodness for only $2.50! Where else can you find plenty of noodles and fishballs at that price? Even the foodcourt at my area sells it at $3 for only four fishballs. Drop by this stall if you are yearning for fishball noodles of pocket friendly prices. Not for fussy eaters though! Next time probably I'll try their chicken feet noodles without their chicken feet since there is much rave about it!
Random note: I am so happy to have my first follower! It actually makes me want to update my blog on a regular basis. It's just a nice feeling to know that people are spending time perusing through what I have written :)
Total damage done: A mere $2.50
