Traditional Costumes

I have a thing for ethnic costumes although i dun wear them... The last time I donned a cheongsam was during age 9 on lunar new year and I havent touch it since then. Probably it's because of preconceived societal norms which imply that the cheongsam is only approved for women of slim figures. Believe it or not, my dream during lunar new year is to be able to wear this costume once again. Sister jokingly tells me this: Eh everyone can wear a cheongsam, just get larger sizes! Hahah... But I dun think anyone will wish to end up looking frumpy! So here's a few from zalora.sg that caught my eye.

Of the above, which one is your favourite? My choice is the blue one because of the ombre blue tones. Some other costumes that I have always wished to wear are as shown below.

The hanbok! I love this because it is really suitable for all sizes and every woman looks cute and demure in it!
The traditional sari. There is something intricate about the sari. It consists of fine details such as gold trimmings, pleats, prints and I like the fact that it accentuates the figures of women. This lady looks really elegant, with a hint of sexiness. I dun think I'll have a chance of wearing this since I am no longer in  my school days, in which we celebrate Racial Harmony's Day. Probably to my indian's friend wedding! Hahahha. Mind you, it is really expensive! A few hundred for a custom made one.

I will definitely wear a cheongsam one day! Mark my words :)
