Year of the Snake 2013

Had the most different lunar new year this year because I skipped most of the visiting altogether. Spent most of my time in temples and sister's house and a while at cousin's house. Nonetheless, I still had fun with the family :) Uploaded some of the photos here as there were too many! Each year, the reunion dinner is the meal that I look most forward to, because my family will have steam boat and that's my favourite! It is a time for family bonding too because we hardly have meals together as each of us returns home at different timings. This year we have 5 cans of abalone at home! Sister won a can during a lucky draw, while mom and elder sis bought the rest. Haha.. still didnt realise our long time dream of having one can of abalone each.

YUM! Doesnt this look appetizing? The colours make it a pretty sight. A whole lot of processed food though. Haha.. But once in a year, nevermind lah!

The plate of delicacies. Limpets, razor clams, pacific clams, sea asparagus, scallops!

My mom's ketchup glazed meatballs! She made this cuz I couldnt eat the prawn balls. Touched!
Sister slicing the abalone into thin slices. That's our blue ceramic knife, which supposedly can cut anything, even ice!
House of Toks in action. Did I tell anyone that I am so in love with my family name? It was a good mistake made by the ICA indeed... "Toh" sounds way too ordinary.

Day 1 of Chinese New Year. Off to the temple.....

Outfit of the Day! H & M top, Forever 21 spaghetti top, Leggings from jess's shop, Kiyo Shoes.

Aitee and me. Tip : Flexing of arms is a must if you dun want your arms to appear too thick in photos.
Aitee showing off her "diamond" rings... Hahhah...Bling Bling is her style.

Xiaoyan, me and Aitee. I am the prettiest right! Au naturel with no make up while the other two had layers of make up on their faces. Haha... Narcissistic.
Wee.. Victory sign! Not my usual pose as I think it's a little childish... hahah

Spotted this near Shuang Lin Monastery. So cute right! I wanted to pose with the dino but it was raining...

Outfit of the Night at cousin's house. Cardigan from Hong Kong, 10 bucks babydoll dress from market makeshift store.
Edited. Vintage feel... Minimal editing done to photos because it is so troublesome!

This is my favourite photo so far :) Tip: Always tilt your face to the side if you want to create the sharper face illusion.
Cheeky faces. Oh shit! I think I look like a pregnant woman here... Hhaha... Baby doll dresses are only for those with huge boobs or flat tummy, mine is just the opposite! No more babydoll dresses for me next time!

Day 2 of Chinese New Year. Off to temple and elder sis's house.

Outfit of the Day. Indiesin top. H & M tweed skirt. Longchamp Bag. Shoes from Violafemme
I love the shoes because of it's straps! You have to wind it twice around your leg before you hook it.

Cousin's outfit of the day shot. Everyone is doing OOTDs.. so we also want to join in the fun. Hahha.
Xiaoyan  and Cousin. My sis definitely has huge dimples.
My dad lazying around in the armchair at sister's house. Towkay Feel. Haha
We were donned in cobalt blue coincidentally ! We are indeed cousins. Proven again.
Xiaoyan and I. Must I really flex my arms each time. Tiring and awkward leh. Hahaha.
Xiaoyan, Jessilyn, me and Yanni. All smiles here :)

Day 3 of Chinese New Year. Yu sheng time!

Aunt gave us this yu sheng that she bought. She shredded her own cucumber and carrot though. As there are no fish slices in this prepacked yusheng, mom added abalone slices :) Yes!
With the crackers atop. Huat Ah, everybody! Hope everyone will have a prosperous new year ahead.
